Wireless Networks

CSE538
4

The course provides an in depth introduction to the state-of-the-art modeling of wireless networks, their simulation, and experimentation.

1. Students are able to apply physical layer technologies, the wireless channel, and their abstractions.
2. Student are able to model medium access control, design power and rate control, understand spatial reuse and self-organization.
3. Students are able to explain and discuss routing and transport layer issues over wireless networks.
4. Students are able to design basic simulations and/or experiments involving a wireless network of nodes.
