Research on Radar Applications

In TCS Research, microwave & mmWave short-range radars are being extensively studied for multiple applications ranging from machine vibrometry, human motion detection right up to microwave imaging, both inside sealed packages as well as medical radar.

In this talk, I will attempt to offer a glimpse of the multifaceted applications that our research team is pursuing. We will begin with Radars for people sensing, that is the detection of human presence, motion tracking as well as action recognition. Going forward, I will highlight our research works in microwave/ mmWave imaging both as Bio-Radar and for imaging occluded objects concluding with Radars as vibrometers in machine inspection.

These investigations have resulted in multiple patent filings and publications in international conferences and journals.
