Routes To Monetize Research

There exist various ways in which researchers in academia and industry can turn their research findings into tangible value, such as products, services, or intellectual property, that can be monetized or commercialized. In academia, researchers can monetize their research by obtaining grants and funding from government agencies, private foundations, and industry partners. They can also license their intellectual property to companies or startups, or spin-off their research into a new company or startup. In Industrial set up, research done to develop new products, services, or technologies that can be sold to customers or licensed to other companies can generate unrestricted income.

There are many different routes to monetize research, and the optimal approach depends on factors such as the nature of the research, the intended audience, and the available resources. Successful monetization of research, thus requires a combination of scientific excellence, entrepreneurial skills, and a deep understanding of market needs and trends.

In this lucrative session we will have renowned speakers from both academia and industry who will talk about a wide variety of ways to generate revenue from research. So, join us to learn from the personal experience of people who have established start-ups that gained enormous popularity and runaway growth, or are experts in the field of technology transfer.
