Rethinking Communication In 2030

Topic: Demystifying 6G over 5G Applications and Services

India has seen a mercurial rise in telecom services and subscribers over the past 20 years. From less than 20 million landline connections (since 1998) to more than 700 million mobile telephone subscribers today, the rise has been mercurial. As India embarks upon its own unique 5G journey, the next big thing on the communication horizon is 6G or sixth-generation communication technology.

6G will build upon 5G technology and provide more reliable, ultra-low latency, and affordable solutions with speeds almost 100 times faster than 5G to enhance and drive new communication applications. It will likely include intelligent network management and control using AI, with an enhanced level of network security while balancing the consequent carbon footprint with reduced energy consumption.

Considering the vision of 6G, our elite panelists will come together on one platform to collectively take stock of where we are with the resources at our disposal and where we ought to be to realize the 6G use cases by 2030.
