About Well-being Cell

Well-Being Cell offers free and confidential counseling and psychological support in a safe space to all the students, staff and faculty at IIIT-D. We have professionally trained and widely experienced Counseling Psychologists, who are accustomed in helping people from many different backgrounds and cultures with wide range of issues, provides special assistance to individuals in dealing with behavioral concerns.

The focus of our counseling services is to provide timely psychological support to all at IIIT-D so as to help them gain an understanding and insight into difficulties & challenges they may be experiencing, to develop emotional resilience, enabling them to fulfill their academic and personal potential.



Services We Offer

Individual Counseling

Where one to one interaction is held between a client and a psychologist. One gets an opportunity to express out his/her concerns freely and to discover ways to implement positive solutions.

Group Counseling

Where a common concern of more than one is taken care of for their better outputs. Here one can relate to others and get benefit from each other’s support and experiences.

Psychological Assessment

In some cases where more precise diagnoses are required, we conduct psychological assessments.

Workshops / Seminars

We organize different workshops on various mental health related concerns.

We also have Student Mentorship Program within the IIIT-Delhi student community, with the primary objective of enabling constructive and positive interaction, guidance and mentorship of junior students by senior students. For details please visit Here

Concerns We Take Care of

Counselling provides an opportunity for individuals to learn to make better choices, improve interpersonal skills, develop confidence and increase educational effectiveness. In a one-on-one meeting with a counsellor, students are helped to explore and express feelings, examine beliefs and ways of thinking about their present situation, reflect on patterns of behavior, and work toward making healthier and happier changes.

Most of the behavioral concerns can be helped through counseling which includes:
