Dr. Ravi Anand earned his Ph.D. from IIT Kharagpur in 2021 where he was part of the Cryptology Research Group under the supervision of Prof. Sourav Mukhopadhyay. Following that, he completed postdoctoral research at ISI Kolkata under Prof. Subhamoy Maitra, and later at the University of Hyogo under Prof. Takanori Isobe .His primary research interests lie in the cryptanalysis of symmetric ciphers, spanning both classical as well as quantum framework. He is also involved in the design of lightweight and secure symmetric primitives. More recently, he has started exploring the application of machine learning techniques to the cryptanalysis of symmetric ciphers.
